Tim Rayner (PhD) is a philosopher and change maker. He is the writer of the transformation manual, Life Changing: A Philosophical Guide (2012), and the multi-award-winning short film, ‘Coalition of the Willing’ (2010). ‘Coalition of the Willing’ won the Grand Jury Prize at the 2010 Hampton International Film Festival, Best Short Film at the 2012 San Francisco Green Film Festival, and Best Environmental Short Film at the 2011 FlickerFest Sydney.
‘Tim is currently working with the US interactive design agency COG1 on Catalyst Map, a social media system inspired by ‘Coalition of the Willing’.
Tim has taught philosophy at the University of Sydney and the University of New South Wales, Australia. He transitioned from academic research to focus on developing transformative solutions to wicked problems. Tim mentors tomorrow’s leaders at the Centre for Sustainability Leadership, Sydney. His consultancy, Philosophy for Change, is a catalyst for transformative learning.
